Plastics in the news
It’s all over the news, how do I benefit my brand?
Plastics
Let’s take positive action
Turn on just about any news source and you’ll see it:

Plastic straws seem to be going the way of leaded gasoline, smoking on airplanes and bungee jumping inside the city limits (OK that last one is not a thing, but I was having trouble remembering the 70’s and it tickled me).
Tennessee, western Virginia and northern Alabama are not going to be affected by the bans on straws in Seattle WA, Monmouth Beach NJ, Oakland CA and Miami Beach FL — but those aren’t the only bans happening. Disney, Starbucks, Hyatt and McDonalds are all in the process of eliminating plastic straws and stirrers from their operations — and that will affect our region.
Setting aside the question of the effectiveness of these bans, how can business owners take a positive action? Well, your AZ Swagman has some ideas:
If you’re a local restaurant or coffee shop, and you have a strong environmental streak, you may be replacing plastic straws as well. Offering $10 imprinted, folding metal straws might be impractical for daily use, but consider something like this for:
● Promote the change in your business. Use them as giveaways for the first 100 new visitors.
● Offer them for sale for those clients who also have strong environmental impulses. (zero cost marketing!)

And if you’d like something different (really? Folding metal straw isn’t different enough?) Consider engraved copper or stainless steel straws. Or maybe a pack of six silicone straws, and two cleaners in a custom imprinted bag will appeal to your clients!
